Caregiver Support
Support For Those Who Care For Others
Caregiving often begins with love or a sense of duty, but over time it can become emotionally and physically demanding. Whether you are caring for a family member or working as a professional caregiver, the responsibilities can feel constant and overwhelming.
Family caregivers may be supporting a parent, partner, or loved one living with dementia, cancer, or another chronic condition. Professional caregivers—such as nurses, doctors, aides, and residential care staff—may also experience significant stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout while caring for others day after day.
Across all caregiving roles, it is common to feel exhausted, worried, stretched thin, or disconnected from your own needs.
When Caregiving Feels Heavy
You may notice:
Ongoing stress, worry, or emotional exhaustion
Guilt when taking time for yourself
Burnout or compassion fatigue
Grief, loss, or anticipatory grief
Difficulty setting boundaries
Feeling isolated or unsupported
Strain in relationships or work life
These reactions are understandable responses to sustained responsibility and emotional demand.
A Space for You
Therapy offers a place where the focus is on you—not just the people you care for.
Together, we can work on:
Managing stress, anxiety, and burnout
Coping with grief and uncertainty
Building self-compassion and resilience
Setting and maintaining boundaries
Improving communication and support systems
Reconnecting with your values and needs
Finding sustainable ways to continue caring
My approach is collaborative and grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Caregiving can be meaningful, but it is not meant to be done without support.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or depleted, therapy can provide a space to process what you’re carrying and find a more sustainable way forward. I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.
